Our History

The Chapel in the Cove was chartered in the 1970’s as an interdenominational church to reach out to the people of Spring Branch and Canyon Lake.

The Chapel celebrated the 25th anniversary of the completion of its worship center in 2008. Started by a few early settlers of the Cypress Cove subdivision, the church grew as it moved from its initial meeting place in the local park to the community’s Civic Center. In 1982, about 20 people began building the church on property donated by the subdivision developer. The Chapel was built by its members in one and a half years, paid for as it was erected and completed in 1983. The front entrance cover was added and completed in 2015.

Church grounds include the chapel, an education building with classrooms, and a memorial park and trail. Today, the Chapel has fifteen beautiful stained glass windows dedicated to members and friends.

The congregation  is friendly, warm and loving, and welcomes you to its worship services. Fellowship activities include monthly luncheons on the last Sunday of each month.
